With no less than five AA rosettes and two Michelin stars it’s safe to say you’re in for a treat if you have a table booked at Midsummer House in Cambridge. Awarded its first Michelin star back in 2002, the second followed three years later and has been retained ever since by Chef Patron Daniel Clifford at the helm backed up by Head Chef Mark Abbott.

Midsummer House is truly a destination restaurant, using outstanding seasonal ingredients and Michelin-starred modern British cooking, underpinned by a French style, in a relaxing and elegant dining room with a choice of a set lunch menu and an evening tasting menu.

Parker’s Tavern is a quintessentially English brasserie on the ground floor of the University Arms Hotel, one of the most iconic places to stay in Cambridge.

Listed in the Michelin Guide with a Michelin Plate award, the Parker’s Tavern menu featured homely classics reinterpreted Head Chef Tristan Welch, who trained alongside industry icons such as Gary Rhodes, Gordon Ramsay and Michel Roux Jnr.

Situated in a beautifully restored Victorian townhouse backing onto the River Cam and Jesus Green, Restaurant Twenty-Two first opened its doors 40 years ago but now under the ownership of partners Sam Carter and Alex Olivier. Home to exciting, modern British dining, with a Michelin Plate and 2 AA Rosette winning menu that changes weekly depending on what seasonal produce is available.
